Description |
Metal(Pewter). English. Wash basin features a tapering rounded body which is slightly irregular in shape and includes a wide top brim. Brim is decorated with single incised line along outer edge. Bottom stamped with a row of three English touchmarks. A partial touchmark on bottom suggests English pewterer John Townsend, who was a major English supplier of finished pewter goods in colonial America. |
